Family-Focused Support Group
What is Family-Focused Support Group (FFSG)?
FFSG is an eight-week educational workshop for adults and children who have experienced abuse in a relationship.
It focuses on helping the adult participant rebuild the parent-child bond and create a physically and emotionally safe environment for their children.
Children meet in age-specific groups in which age-appropriate materials are presented. Participants also learn about safety planning;
the dynamics of abuse; and ways to communicate feelings, set boundaries, and improve self-esteem.
Adult groups are offered in English and Spanish. Childcare is provided.
Who can attend FFSG?
