In order to achieve this vision, Families First has the following open positions:

Licensed Family Therapist – full or part-time; The individual in this position will facilitate individual, couples and family counseling. Knowledge, skills, and experience in mental health, marriage therapy, and family counseling required. Must hold a Master of Social Work or other related Masters Degree and an Indiana State issued license (LCSW, LMFT, or LHMC). Experience with children and/or play therapy is preferred. Advanced counseling skills supported by experience with a wide range of client problems and needs, and in at least one area of the agency’s service programs. Mastery and demonstrated skill in implementing a range of treatment modalities. Versatility in responding to the needs of greatly divergent client groups served through different agency programs, and/or specialization in one or more areas of practice, treatment modality, or in serving a particular client group. Ability to work collaboratively with professionals from other agencies and other disciplines, volunteers, community groups, and lay leadership. Ability to understand and interpret complex organizational structures. Must be available for evening hours and some travel to outer counties may be required.

Domestic Violence Therapist; This person in this position works with mandated clients and will perform assessments of client needs, analyze data, formulate and implement service plans; as well as keep accurate, timely records. Additionally, this position will maintain an active caseload for individuals and/or families, and will monitor regular communication with client and other individuals or organizations which are providing service to the client, and provide limited supportive counseling service to clients under supervision. A demonstrated skill and mastery in implementing a range of treatment modalities is required in addition to versatility in responding to the needs of greatly divergent client groups. A Master’s degree in social work, psychology, or marriage and family therapy is required. Must be license eligible and must apply to take the licensing exam within 90 days of employment and take the test within 9 months of employment. The person in this position must be available to work until 8:00 pm at least two nights between Monday – Thursday each week. Ability to speak and understand Spanish preferable but not required.

Chemical Dependency Therapist; The person in this position will perform assessments of client needs, analyze data, formulate and implement service plans; as well as keep accurate, timely records. Additionally, this position will maintain an active caseload for individuals and/or families, and will monitor regular communication with client and other individuals or organizations which are providing service to the client, and provide limited supportive counseling service to clients under supervision. A demonstrated skill and mastery in implementing a range of treatment modalities is required in addition to versatility in responding to the needs of greatly divergent client groups. A Master’s degree in social work, psychology, or marriage and family therapy or have an LAC license is required. The person in this position must be available to work until 8:00 pm Monday, Wednesday and Thursday in our Greenfield location.

Home-based Therapist; The person in this position will perform assessments of client needs, analyze data, formulate and implement service plans; as well as keep accurate, timely records. Additionally, this position will maintain an active caseload for individuals and/or families, and will monitor regular communication with client and other individuals or organizations which are providing service to the client, and provide limited supportive counseling service to clients under supervision. A demonstrated skill and mastery in implementing a range of treatment modalities is required in addition to versatility in responding to the needs of greatly divergent client groups. A Master’s degree in social work, psychology, or marriage and family therapy is required. Must be license eligible and must apply to take the licensing exam within 90 days of employment and take the test within 9 months of employment. Prior experience in home-based family preservation helpful, but not required.
